Located at the center of the pod camp, the Pod-house hosts the bar, the breakfast area, the relaxation area with sauna and a meeting room which can accommodate up to 30 people. The reception and the main restaurant are located in the Chalet Les Cerniers.
A unique form of accommodation
The eco-luxury hotel Whitepod offers you an alternative mean to explore and discover the Swiss Alps. The use of pods offers you the possibility to be immersed into the natural landscape of the mountains.
But what’s a pod ? A pod is a geodesic structure anchored on a wooden platform which is naturally isolated from the cold and the snow.
For your ultimate confort, each pod is decorated differently but all are extra cosy with king-size beds, organic bedding, fully serviced bathrooms and your very own wood-burning stove. The large bay windows and your own private deck offer a stunning and very exclusive panorama.
At the centre of the 15 pods, stands a charming early 1800s wooden chalet where guests meet for breakfast in the morning or gather in the evening around its central fireplace for evening drinks and socializing.
Guests are encouraged to explore the mountain through various types of winter adventures, including downhill skiing or snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, and guided hikes.
Isolated from all urban pollution, the mountain region lends itself perfectly to such a concept. The pods blend beautifully into the nature: white in the winter, green during the summer. The Whitepod is the ultimate mountain escape for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
The Whitepod resort won the World Prize for Sustainable Tourism in 2005. To discover more winter destinations, please consult our hotspot category.
