This week-end, the Chantilly Arts & Elegance will honours world’s most beautiful cars
This Sunday, the Château de Chantilly’s gardens will host the fifth edition of the Concours Chantilly Arts & Élégance Richard Mille. This event will celebrate car aesthetic finest and French art of living. 130 superb vehicles, exclusive concept-cars and historical autos will be shown to the public… A joyous occasion for enthusiasts !
Not-to-be-missed and prestigious, this event has only one watchword : elegance. All of the guests must abide to a very classy and fancy dress-code.
One day, three competitions
On the subject of elegance, three exceptional contests will pace the event. First, the Concours d’État will crown the most beautiful vintage car exposed on the lawns of Le Nôtre du Domaine. Japanese sport cars, Facel Vega, Pagani Zonda, Aston Martin, McLaren, Avions-Voisin… all will be judged regarding their rareness, their conservation state, their maintenance and their history. At last, only one of them will win the title of Best of the show.
The event will reach its climax during its Concours d’Élégance. Throughout a parade, sixteen premium car manufacturers will display one of their concept-cars. Some of them have not been shown to the public yet. The vehicle will march with a model. She will be wearing a fashion designer creation (Jean-Paul Gauthier, Paco Rabane, Giorgio Armani and many others). Among those cars, we can note the attendance of the BMW Vision M Next, of the “Voiture Noire” of Bugatti, of the Renault EZ-Ultimo, of the Lexus Concept LC Cabriolet and the McLaren Speedtail.
Meanwhile, a third contest, the Grand Prix des Clubs, will award the brand’s club most convincing garden-party presentation.
A very exclusive event
In-between the contests, the collectors may take part in rallies during which they will drive through Oise’s most beautiful and historical roads. The first one will be dedicated to vintage cars while the second one will highlights SuperCars performances.
Otherwise, a huge panel of activities will animate Chantilly Arts & Elegance. Many parades will celebrate Bugatti’s, Bentley’s, Lexus’ and Pagani’s respective birthdays. In the meantime, Bonhams house will host an auction of 40 prestigious cars. Some manufacturers have also confirmed their presence. Honda and DS will hold test sessions of their vehicles. Some musical, cooking activities, horse ridings and art exhibitions will entertain children and grown-ups.
