Greenpoint Technologies is a premier Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) Completion Center, creating superior aircraft products and VIP completions exclusively for Boeing aircraft.
The 747-8 aircraft, which can typically carry up to 450 passengers as a commercial airliner, was purchased from Boeing with an unfurnished interior. It was then customized by Greenpoint Technologies with interiors and features that could render any other private jet inadequate.
The 747-8 aircraft is the world’s second-largest commercial aircraft after the Airbus A380 superjumbo (though the 747-8 is longer). The 747-8 VIP version is said to offer 4786 square feet (444.63 square metres) of cabin space with the 747-8 Aeroloft version offering an additional 393 square feet (36.51 square metres).
The 747-8 VIP aircraft features a large open seating area with lounge, window blinds and TV; a master bedroom suite and custom-designed storage units, lounge and windows; a large dining room; and an office space that can also be used as a conference room.
The 747-8 Aeroloft version also has private sleeping berths located above the main deck in the aft section and is fitted-out with custom designed furnishings and a forward entry staircase.
The plane retails in at around £230million, and the estimated ‘improvement’ work is an additional £160 million taking the overall expense to almost £400million.
Greenpoint Technologies, has delivered the aircraft to an unidentified private owner after three years of hard graft. Could flying first-class get any more luxurious?
