Originally built for the royal family of Udaipur, the construction of Taj Lake Palace took 3 years between 1743 and 1746, it is located on the entirety of the beautiful island of Jag Niwas on Lake Pichola. It was converted in a heritage hotel in 1963 and since then, this floating jewel has been welcoming guest.

The hotel has 65 luxurious rooms and 18 grand suites all were restored to their pristine glory offering intricate arches, ornaments, paintings and art pieces. The palace became extremely famous again after a scene from James Bound Octopussy was shot there.
