Aston Martin Vanquish Volante: the ultimate GT convertible
Last June, the prestigious car maker Aston Martin unveiled the Vanquish Volante, a remarkable luxury sports car that brings the opportunity to drive with wind-in-hair to the Super GT class. Benefiting from the engineering and design techniques of the Vanquish coupe launched last autumn, the new Volante goes a step further thanks to its convertible bonnet improving the driving experience.
The Vanquish Volante retains the coupe’s dynamic character and sporting abilities. It holds the same 573 horsepower AM11 6.0-litre V12 engine and registers the same speed performances: the 0-100kph sprint is delivered in just 4.1 seconds while the top speed stands at 295kph. The body of this model is fully made of carbon, a lighter material than steel. Lastly, it only takes 14 seconds to fold the roof.
The Vanquish Volante embodies British luxury and GT power. It will be available on the European market by the end of 2013.
