Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition: Lotus anniversary gift for supercars lovers
To celebrate Hethel 50th anniversary, Lotus has just revealed the third special anniversary model with the Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition. A direct descendant from Exige Sport 350, built with many improvements and a remarkable weight gain.
Less is more
Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition’s most remarkable asset is the impressive weight gain. Everything has been lightweight to close Lotus 50th anniversary trilogy. And from these improvements result high performance and unparalleled grip.
Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition is lighter and faster comparing to its grand sister, but also cheaper than all other vehicles with similar equipment. Among this improvement there are also the lighter lithium battery, lightweight centre console, lightweight carbon fibre seats…in short, 26kg less than previous Lotus 350 S!
All Lotus assets
Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition has all characteristics and performance you should expect in a Lotus: ideal responsiveness, increased speed and perfect handiness.
Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition has a six-speed manual gearbox that delivers faster and more precise changes. It perfectly responds to the 345hp V6 3.5L engine that is able to achieve a top speed of 274km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in only 3.9 seconds.
Aerodynamics elements on Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition were also optimized such as front panel that improves airflow exciting the car’s horizontally mounted radiator and as the rear wing that contributes to a better down force. Then, thanks to a simple switch on centre console, you can pass from the different “Sport” or “Race” settings.
Finally Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition is available in four of Lotus fans’ favourite colours: Essex Blue, Old English White, Dark Metallic Grey or even Motorsport Black. Each colours comes with two contrasting racing stripes that perfectly match the body colour. Front splitter, side mirrors and other exterior components are finished in matt black, while rear tail, front panel and roof panel are finished in body colour.
In order to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Lotus will only commercialise 50 Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition. And you should know that the two previous Special Edition have been sold in only a few days!
