Rolls-Royce unveils “The Black Rose” from its new Droptail range

Rolls-Royce, the legendary luxury car brand, continues to make history with the launch of its new Droptail range. In this series, the veil has been lifted on one of the four extraordinary vehicles: “La Rose Noire”, a sumptuous two-seater cabriolet. This masterpiece was specially commissioned for a family whose identity remains a mystery.

The renowned British car manufacturer described the owners as “a lineage of art lovers and fashion enthusiasts, at the head of a family of international stature with deep ties to France”.

The exceptionally “romantic” design of this new model draws its inspiration from the beauty of the Baccara rose. With bodywork that oscillates between garnet and black, depending on the angle of the light, “La Rose Noire” fascinates with its remarkable presence. The interior of this masterpiece is no exception to its exterior allure. The cabin is meticulously crafted from 1603 pieces of hand-plated wood, creating an unrivalled visual and tactile symphony. The head of design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars described this exceptional craftsmanship as “the pinnacle of complexity and refinement, never before achieved”.

A dashboard clock, designed by the prestigious Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, sits like a jewel at the heart of the vehicle. This luxury clock is more than just a time indicator; it can be detached and worn on the wrist like an exquisite watch. To top it all off, a champagne box integrated into the cabriolet adds a touch of sophistication to the driving experience.

Under the hood, “La Rose Noire” is powered by a twin-turbo V12 engine developing an impressive 600 hp, ensuring performance worthy of the Rolls-Royce name.
