Richard Mille Yohan Blake Tourbillon Prototype put up for sale
On September 28, the 2013 Only Watch charity auction will be held in Monaco. Richard Mille manufacture will join this event and for the occasion, will put up for sale an exclusive piece. The famous Yohan Blake Tourbillon Prototype will indeed be donated for this auction.
Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake was one of the biggest stars of the 2012 London Olympic Games. By stepping up on the podium several times and by winning the 4 x 100 m relay Gold Medal, Yohan Blake ensured himself a worldwide recognition. During the Olympic Games, this prototype worn by Yohan Blake and created by Richard Mille made a real impact. Based upon the RM83, this unique piece was adapted to technical specifications required for athletics.
The sturdy but still very light case is made of magnesium WE 54. The heart is a manufacture calibre with 19 jewels whose frequency reaches 3Hz. A titanium grade 5 was used for the baseplate, bridges and cocks. Moreover, Jamaican colours are obviously predominant in the design of this watch.
