Rolex introduces three new Oyster Cosmograph Daytona model in yellow, grey or Everose gold
Cosmograph is a legendary watch model created by Rolex and always loved by race drivers for its extreme precision and rigidity. More than 50 years after the first watch, Rolex reveals three new Oyster Cosmograph Perpetual Daytona versions in gold.
Ultra-performing new bezel and case
New Oyster Cosmograph Daytona is a very appreciated model on circuit especially for its extreme precision and performances that now wears a black bezel that reminds the very first model designed by Rolex.
Engraved with a tachometer, Oyster Cosmograph Daytona can measure with an extreme precision the speed up to 400 miles or kilometre per hour. This bezel is made with a new one-piece called Cerachrom, that is ensure to be both solid and almost scratchproof. Moreover, such a bezel doesn’t suffer from UV rays and keeps its original colour, and is also protected from corrosion. Here, Rolex has deposited a thin layer of gold 18K. As for the glass, it is made with scratchproof sapphire. Then, only Rolex watchmakers can reveal its content, being the only guardians of the cosmograph movement.
A legendary movement certified by Rolex
Oyster Cosmograph Daytona’s movement is a Perpetual calibre 4130, a self-winding mechanical movement with an autonomy of 72 hours. Entirely built and assembled by Rolex, the house has chosen to reduce its components in order to ensure more precision and reliability. But this is not the only quality. Indeed, the movement resists to magnetical fields, temperature variations and chocks.
Oyster Cosmograph Daytona is also adorned by a new Oysterflex wrap, a true Rolex technology. As robust as a metallic wrap and as flexible as an elastomer wrap, this one combines cleverly both materials. It contains in its heart a metallic blade surrounded by high-performance black elastomer that can resist to time and environment. A secured Oysterlock clasp closes this one, realised in 18K yellow, grey or Everos gold, so it can never be accidentally opened.
Finally, Oyster Cosmograph Daytona watch is certified like all last Rolex models as a superlative chronometer, after having succeeded in a lot of pointed testings made by the House itself. This certification proves its waterproof, its precision and its autonomy. This certification is also visible on the watch by the green Rolex seal. A true competition machine on your wrist!
